Stuff

I am amazed at how much krap er I mean important stuff Jeff and I have collected over the years. We have both lost people that were important to us, and because of that have collected more stuff. Some of these things are small, likes Jeff's old pocket watch that I think came from his Grandpa. I have two sewing machines, one is a huge treadle and has been in my family for almost 100 years. The "new" sewing machine is smaller and was made in the '30s. I have these old lamps that came out of my Great Grandma's house when I was in college. I thought they were pretty and never really thought about them being old. Then I was visiting my mom's house last summer and found some old drawings that my Aunt did in high school. She was born in the early 50's and I think the drawings were dated around '68 or so. Anyway there in her art book was a sketch of one of my lamps. Now I know in my head, that all of these things are just that, they are things. But to know that my Mom and her sisters, my Grandma and two generations of great Grandma's have all sewed on the little sewing machine make them special to me.
