Reading time

Due to being sick and being on vacation at my Mom's house, I've been reading a lot lately. My new favorite books are the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. The books tell the tale of a 30 year old bounty hunter named Stephanie Plum. She is a little bit nutty, a whole lot stubborn, and she is always finding herself in a new mess involving stun guns, blowing up a car, or diving in garbage. When you mix in the two men she loves, her crazy family and even crazier friends, you can't stop from laughing. I love that these books are generally pretty funny and light hearted, and that they still usually have a mystery of some sort. If you're looking for a nice quick read, without a really dark tone(most of the time anyway,) these books are for you. The new one comes out on Tuesday, and I'm trying to decide if I should go buy it then, or wait for it to show up at the used bookstore or on paperback swap. Too bad I don't do patient very well...

Anyone else out there read these books? Just wondering why I've never heard of them before.

I LOVE them. They make me laugh out loud. I can't wait for the next one either. I love the grandma!

I need to read something fluffy. I gravitate toward the books that are dark and heavy and then wonder why I'm so haunted after reading them. It's good to break those heavier books up with something light and fun in between. Maybe I'll have to check these out!

I haven't read them but I know lots of people that read the series religiously and rave about them. There on my reading list :)
