Hypothetically speaking

Would it be bad to cover a crock pot with foil while it was cooking? If, say you were remodeling, and your husband packed the lid to the crock pot. And that crock pot was the only way you could cook anything besides the microwave. Would that really be a bad thing? Hypothetically speaking of course.

Hypothetically speaking, I think it's a great idea! If it's a round crock pot, you could use a plate too. Cookie sheets are sometimes handy as lids. Can you tell that I've got a bunch of hand-me-down cookware and have had to improvise before?
